Chedid Capital is looking for an Internal Control and Compliance Manager for its operations in Ivory Coast. The role is responsible for managing compliance and internal control activities within the Hubs and subsidiaries, with the aim of identifying and assessing the risks associated with internal control and compliance, particularly those related to regulations and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying and assessing the risk of non-compliance to which the subsidiary/Hub is exposed in the course of its activities
- Ensure adequate coverage of the subsidiary/Hub’s operations and activities to provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the processes.
- Prepare and implement the annual compliance and internal control review plans and submit them to the group management for approval.
- Implement specific steps of the compliance program to ensure adequate coverage at the subsidiary level (including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing activities).
- Implement a permanent control system for major risks.
- Monitor compliance with regulations and statutory requirements of the subsidiary and the Hub.
- Oversee accounting and financial information.
- Ensure the cohesion and effectiveness of the permanent control procedures across the subsidiary and the Hub.
- Perform continuous compliance checks in accordance with the approved annual compliance plan.
- Submit periodic reports detailing instances of non-compliance with regulations and statutory requirements.
- Liaise with the regulator whenever necessary, respond to queries, communicate any issues raised by the regulator, and ensure follow-up on these issues until final resolution.
- Perform mandatory checks and reviews.
- Implement anti-money laundering policies.
- Organize training on anti-money laundering policies and regulations.
- Recommend improvements to policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new regulations.
- Make necessary recommendations to improve the security and efficiency of transactions.
- Maintain an understanding of all laws, regulations, policies/procedures, and best practices applicable to the subsidiary.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar field/role.
- Experience in insurance, insurance broker or TPA is a must.
- Proficiency in French is a must.
- Willingness to relocate permanently to Africa
